"ALTHOUGH this psalm can be explained as dealing with the works of creation, it is more fittingly explained as dealing with the new creation, which is the church in Christ. Eph. 2:10: “We are His workmanship, created for good works.” Gal. 6:15: “In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but a new creation.” James 1:18: “That we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creation.” Rev. 21:5: “Behold, I make all things new.” That this is what the psalm has in mind is clear from the following:
